Welcome to Astoria!

*as you are walking down the street, you notice an interesting red brick house* *it looks as though it is falling apart and someone is fixing it up to look better* *in the front lawn of the house, a white fountain spurts water up into the air and catches it in the basin at the bottom* *after you open the small black iron gate, you stroll up the sidewalk* *the forest green door is interrupted by the white number 605 on it* *below the number, a sign on the door reads: "Astoria Boys’ Lodging House"* *trusting your luck that this is not a house for young juvenile delinquents, noting mainly that there are not any bars on the windows to come to that conclusion, you traipse up the steps and walk inside, hoping for the best*

*squinting because of the dim lighting, you look around, examining the inside of the house* *a few couches and chairs litter the lobby, no particular pattern to their placement* *whilst looking around the room, you notice a dark haired young man sitting behind a desk, his feet propped up as he leans back in the chair* *hearing the door close, he looks up to examine you* Can I help you? *although he has a somewhat heavy Russian accent, it is not a hindrance to the listener, it is actually quite nice* *he stands and walks over to, shaking your hand with a warm smile* If you’re looking for a place to stay, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll just have to sign in, *indicates the ledger on the desk* answer a few questions, and I will get you a bunk. *with a smirk* I’m Miroslav, by the way. *glances over at the stairs, his smirk still intact* Bunkroom is upstairs, if you want to take a look before committing yourself to anything. *motions toward the staircase that leads to the second floor* Feel free to look around. *smiles again before turning and going back to his desk, sitting and propping his feet up on the desk as he had been before he had gotten up, as if waiting for another unsuspecting person to wander through the door, into his domain*
