Basics
The Union has a general format for Role Playing (RPing),
shared by all establishments. It is as follows:
1. Chatting or Role-playing or RPing or whatever you want
to call it is used, obviously, to develop storylines, character
development, and just plain letting house members get to know
each other.
2. Please know the layouts of the
girls' house and boys'
house and where everyone is before placing your character
somewhere
3. Actions are in Asterisks, just as in the profile.
2. Double parentheses denote OOC (out of character) conversation.
For example, if you're saying hi to Rachel and not Miro or
Natalia you'd say: ((Hello!)). If you forget them, people
will think that your character is shouting hello.
3. Read from the bottom up. In other words, the chat is inverted.
What's on the top of the screen is the latest thing said.
What's on the bottom is the earliest. It's easy to get confused.
4. Please keep profanity to a minimum, epseically OOC, IC
it's a lottle bit more acceptable.
5. No discussing topics of an explict nature and if someone
asks to discontinue the vein of conversation, do. Let's keep
about PG-13 rated okay.
6. Outsiders are usually welcome. They tend to inculde character
index folk anyway and are played by members, but if not it
is asked that you are approved by a leader first.
One last thing: Your login name should be something along
the lines of "Miro," "Miroslav Dmitriev,"
"Miroslav," etc. Well, you can use your character's
name. Also, if you don't feel comfortable putting in your
email address, you don't have to. And if we're doing an AOL
chat, which we tend to do most often, characters tend to have
their own colours.
