Honey Kelley

autumchild1017@aol.com

* waltzes into the room and takes a seat at the desk* Good afternoon, my name's Annette *smiles at the new face seated nearby* *picks up a paper from on top of the massive mess on the desk* Now, just a few questions and you get to go on your way. Don't make this into a disagreeable experience, okay? *nods decisively* Let's start at the beginning. What's your name? I'd appreciate your full given name, *looks up expectantly* you know, first and last:

*eyes Annette carefully* Kyra Kelley. *hint of a Irish accent present* I don’t see why it’s important though. I mean, no one ever calls my by that name.

*nods* Alright *scribbles the name and a few stick figures on the paper* *snatches it out of view* Do you have a name of sorts that you'd rather be called? *to herself* I prefer my real name, but hey, to each his own. *looks over with a bemused smile on her face* And, how'd you get that particular nickname?:

Honey. *sighs* When I was younger, one of my best friends just started calling me that. I think it’s because she knew I didn’t like honey. I don’t know why I kept it if I hate it. *shrugs* *actually, her hair is a honey color*

*smirks* Cute, real cute *snickers a little* So, how old are ya, huh? And on what day will you be turning a another year older?:

I am 16 years old. I turn 17 December 19. *smirks* You can figure out the year, if it’s that important to you.

*raises her eyebrows* That's a decent time of year *casts a furitive glance at out the window* So, now where were we? *looks over the paper, now riddled with stick figures and curly handwriting* Oh, yes, your looks. *nods* Now, don't give me a hard time, just tell me what you look like. *puts her pen to the paper expectantly* You know, like eye and hair colour, height, and all that other stuff. Pretend I'm blind, okay?:

*nods* I don’t have the typical Irish look. Maybe it’s because I’m half English. *laughs a bit* Okay, I have *honey* golden blonde hair. My eyes are a light green color. I guess they have some gray in there somewhere. They are more hazel really. *shrugs* Uh… I’m about 5’4”, paler skin, and a bit on the skinny side. *even though she is skinny, she is tough* *stands and looks herself over* *after a couple seconds or so, she sits back down* I’m not gorgeous, just ordinary. *pauses, thinking of what she left out* Oh, I have freckles all over my face too. *scrunches her nose* Bit annoying, really. I have been told I look like my mum. She’s the one that’s English.

*raises eyebrows* Sure, if that's what you say.*shakes head in disbelief* What's your personality like? *looks you over* i mean, are you mean, nice, whatever? How're you going to get along here?:

Well, I don’t get excited about things much. Haven’t had many reasons to. *shrugs* When I have gotten excited, I’ve been let down. *sighs* I am loyal to my friends, unless they give me a reason not to be. So you might want to stay on my good side. However, it takes me awhile to trust people. I have had too many people betray me. *yawns* Sorry. I’m getting tired. I can be really sarcastic when it comes down to it. *grins* One of my best qualities, I say. *sarcasm is how she hides her insecurities* But, overall, I am pretty friendly. So, I should get along fine. I do stay out of people’s way. *pauses* Most of the time. *winks* I am more of an observer. I don’t like to be the center of attention. It annoys me.

*sighs* Got'cha, you really think that, eh? *draw a little more on the paper* Everyone gets mad about this one, but if you give me a hard time, I will not hesitate to hurt you. *narrows eyes* How'd you get here and what your story? Enthrall me.:

*raises one eyebrow* Just don’t go telling people my life story. *sits up straighter* My da’ and mum decided to move to America for “opportunities” and a “better life.” *shakes her head* That turned out real great. *rolls her eyes* We came from Kerry in Ireland. Left all my friends and family back there. *stares out the window as she continues* The minute we got here, we’ve been treated like dirt. My da’ and I because we’re Irish. My mum because she married an Irishman. *takes a breath* They were murdered a few months ago. Shot to death. Found them myself. *shudders at the memory* Since then, I’ve been wandering around, doing what I could to survive. *looks back at Annette* I’m an only child, so I had to take care of myself. Whatever it took to do so, I did it. *shrugs* Stealing, eating without paying, conning my way into getting shelter. A girl has to live somehow. That was my way.

*clasps hands and grins evilly* My favorite! *giggles* So, who are the people in your life? Family, friends *snickers* boyfriends? *looks up happily* Tell me everything.:

*in a sort of monotone* My parents are dead. Everyone else is back home, in Kerry. I know a couple of people here. I just met you didn’t I? *smiles, but then scowls at thought of the word boyfriend* No boyfriend. Haven’t met anyone worth my time.

Well, we've come to the last question. *nods* Then I can go out to the candy shop and get myself a phosphate *looks out the window again* So, anything else we oughta know about you?:

I smoke. *sighs* Terrible habit, but it calms me down. Other than that, nothing. *crosses arms* We done? I need some sleep. *yawns*
